Happy Chinese New Year! 新年快乐 Xīnnián kuàilè

If you would like to learn how to say Happy New Year here is a suggestion from

新年快乐 / 新年快樂 (Xīnnián kuàilè)

'New Year happiness!'
  • In Mandarin: /sshin-nyen kwhy-ler/
  • In Cantonese: /sen-nin feye-lor/
Today we got together with our friends from R22 and made Chinese Lanterns with dragons on them. We watched a narrative that described some of the traditions of Chinese New Year like lucky colours of red and gold; and what to eat - noodles very long ones bring good fortune so don't cut them up!
Here are some of the children from R14 and R22 who are celebrating the New Year. Geena and Kiera looked so proud, and pretty too.
